 WHAT MEN DO WHEN THEY “ARRIVED”.

Scripture reading:-

Haggai 1:1-4

Today, the Lord is speaking to us concerning our attitude after Answered prayers.

Isaiah 59:2 talks about your INIQUITIES.

That Ungratefulness, not coming back to show appreciation makes your Creator disappointed.

But if you cannot show appreciation to Him, at least, extend it to your neighbour by your goodwill.

We have men and women who either do good or engaged in bad actions after being blessed.

Let us look inside our bible to see those who either continue what they are doing before being blessed or those who used their New position to show what they have inside of their heart.

EXAMPLES:-

1- King David proposed to build a house for the Lord

2 Samuel 7:1-3

After God gave King David rest from his enemies, he thought paramount in his heart is “the house of His God”.

2-2 SAMUEL 11:1-4

Proverbs 4:23 says keep thy heart with all diligence, out of it can come good or evil.

The same heart who was longing to do good for the Lord, now opens the hedge of his thought life to satan.

David took Uriahs wife

At the time, when kings go to war,

He considered himself “arrived”.

The person who

-leads praise/worship,

-Who leads others, now retires on his own.

He preferred to be served rather than be the servant.

If you have arrived, ell the Lord to shift your remaining blessings to me. DECLARE IT.

3-King  Belshazzar

DANIEL 5:1-5

Abomination,

he took all the sacred things out of the temple and drank from them.

Pastors beware,

Ushers be careful,

Don’t dip your hands in sacred things that belongs to God.

The finger of God is waiting to judge you.

4-Acts 12:21-23

When you arrived, kill pride

Your best friends are those who stands with you in the days of afflictions.

But when you ARRIVED, you have easy friends.

They are the type who can sell their mamma for a pot of porridge,

-As long as favor is flowing from you to them.

5- King Nebuchadnezzar

Daniel 4:29-33

6- Settling personal scores with your affluence.

SAMSON AS AN EXAMPLE

-fight over girls

-revenge back by setting the philistines farm on fire WHY?

All because of personal scores, not Gods.(Judges Chapter 15)

Many are gifted, empowered, and promoted,

But they use their office to visit the offense of the past.

It’s not in line with heavens wish.

Eccl 7:29

It happens to all, it can happen to you too.

Elijah, David, etc suffers from this

To summarize all, when you arrived,

Don’t embark on journey of:

-Self indulgence(No more conviction from the Holy Spirit)

-self destruction

-reduction in seeking the Holy Spirit infilling

On your way up, beloved,

there is always a demand for more from the Holy Spirit, BUT,

On your way down, the demand diminish.

Before I round up this message, I want to give you all a word of advice given unto Esther by Mordecai.

Esther 4:13-14

What the verse is saying to you is

WHATEVER IS IN YOUR POWER,TO DO POSITIVELY TO OTHERS,DO IT.

GIVE LIVES,

GIVE HOPES,

DONT DESTROY.
